The Video Panel

The Video panel displays an image of the area around the cantilever. This panel allows the user to see the laser spot location for laser alignment and the sample surface for sample navigation.

Various tools are located below the video panel:

Zoom: Buttons and a slide bar can be used to zoom or unzoom the camera field of view. Zooming may aid in locating the probe tip.

Illumination: Buttons and a slide bar control the sample illumination LED.

Capture: Use the capture button to create an image file of the Video panel display.

Scale: The Scale bar indicates the current scale of the Video panel field of view.

Return to Setup View.

Return to Navigate View
